Australian Clinical Entrepreneur Program
The Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund is supporting the participation of Western Australian clinicians in the Australian Clinical Entrepreneur Program (AusCEP).
AusCEP is a program of the Researcher Exchange and Development within Industry Initiative, which is funded by the Commonwealth’s Medical Research Future Fund.
This program is delivered by MTPConnect, which is Australia's Growth Centre for the medical technologies, biotechnologies and pharmaceuticals sector.
AusCEP is based on the highly successful United Kingdom’s National Health Service Clinical Entrepreneur Program, which has been operating since 2016.
AusCEP aims to upskill Australian clinicians in innovation and commercialisation. The program offers:
- eight educational ‘pit stop’ workshops spread out over the course of the 12-month Program
- mentoring with world-class clinician entrepreneurs
- networking opportunities to connect with venture capital and other funding opportunities
- one-on-one consultations with industry leaders with expertise in developing innovations
This round of the program is only available in Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
AusCEP aligns with the FHRI Fund Priority to:
Enhance skills in innovation (including commercialisation), which will advance the quality and capacity of innovation in WA and help WA innovators to obtain funding to support their work.
Western Australian clinicians with an innovative idea, product or service who are interested in participating in this free program are encouraged to visit the AusCEP website, where there are further details, and an online application form: Australian Clinical Entrepreneur Program (AUSCEP)
