The Clinician Research Fellowships 2024 program is designed to encourage clinicians employed by WA Health Service Providers to develop their research capability, while continuing some clinical duties. The program facilitates high-quality research that will ultimately provide better health care outcomes. The purpose of the Co-Funding Partnerships Program (Co-FPP) is to establish collaborations and funding partnerships to bring genuinely new non-government funding for health and medical research and innovation to WA, and to build a culture that supports co-operation and interconnectedness. The Collaborative Centres program provides time-limited funding for WA-based researchers to substantially accelerate new or emerging programs of world-leading research.

The FHRI Fund Enabling Scheme provides grants for capital costs associated with facility and equipment upgrades, equipment replacement and purchase of new equipment that is solely used for health and medical research and innovation purposes and to make these more broadly accessible to the health and medical research and innovation sector. The Innovation Fellowships 2024 program is designed to encourage talented Western Australians to enhance their innovation knowledge, skills and experience, in conjunction with experts who will supervise and mentor them, while developing an innovation of significance to the health and/or wellbeing of the WA community. The Innovative Solutions – Digital Health program aims to build the capacity and capability of the WA innovation sector to leverage the potential of digital health technologies in improving the health and/or wellbeing of the WA community by promoting the development of innovative digital health solutions. The Research Infrastructure Support (RIS) 2024 program provides support to medical research institutes, hospitals and universities for the indirect costs of research and for operational costs of shared research equipment, facilities and services. The Research Innovation and Impact Grants program is a co-funded program of the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund and the Royal Perth Hospital Research Foundation and provides research grants for mid- career and senior researchers who are translating novel ideas into healthcare innovations that could make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. The Translation Fellowships – Burden of Disease and Genomics 2024 program provides three-year fellowship funding and a research allowance to support high-quality early- to mid-career researchers in the areas of Burden of Disease and/or Genomics.
