The Fellowships Part A – Research Fellows 2026 program aims to attract and develop outstanding health and medical researchers across all career stages, making the WA research workforce more competitive at national and international levels.

   The Fellowships Part B - Distinguished Fellows 2025-26 program aims to attract outstanding research leaders to Western Australia, to undertake a program of research that builds WA’s reputation and capability for WA-led globally recognised research

The Fellowships Part C – Visiting Fellows 2026 program aims to attract talented interstate and international health and medical research and innovation experts to visit WA and maximise collaborative opportunities.

Golden Ticket 2026 aims to enhance the health and medical innovation knowledge, skills and experience of high-potential WA innovators by providing financial support for salary costs, development opportunities, and professional services so they can validate early ideas and develop their capability to lead innovative ventures that will benefit the WA community.

The Major Research and Innovation Application Support (MRIAS) program aims to boost WA’s national and international grant funding success and enhance WA’s standing as a leader in health and medical research and innovation.

The Mental Health Translational Research Grants 2026 program provides a one-off round of targeted grants to accelerate the implementation of the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Strategy 2026-2031.

Showcase WA aims to boost the visibility of Western Australian health and medical research and innovation nationally and internationally, showcase local research and innovation achievements and opportunities, facilitate knowledge exchange and networks, encourage collaboration and build capacity and capability within the WA sector

 The Strategic Priority Program – Capacity building program is a Co-Funding Partnership Program between the FHRI Fund and Cancer Council WA. The program aims to support all career stages of cancer researchers through scholarships, fellowships and project grants.
