Implementation Science Fellowships 2021

Implementation science seeks to understand the system-level facilitators and barriers to implementing evidence into practice and identify evidence-based approaches to promote translation. The Implementation Science Fellowships program sought to identify strategies for the successful implementation of research findings into policy and practice in the WA public health system, in the following two streams:

  • Aboriginal health issues
  • Country and regional WA health issues.

Appointed Fellows contributed to the development of a broad implementation science research program that addressed a contemporary challenge or need faced by the WA public health system in one of two streams and demonstrates the potential pathway(s) for the implementation of research findings into improved policy and/or practice in the WA public health system.

Applications were open to eligible WA administering institutions, in partnership with at least one WA Health Service Provider.

One Fellowship was available in each of the stream. The value of each Fellowship was $200,000 per annum for three years, which may be used for salary and research costs.
