Biobank Interim Support Program 2021

The Future Health Research and Innovation Fund’s Biobank Interim Support Program 2021 provided bridging funds to high-quality WA biobanks to ensure they could transition to a new biobank model, once it was determined.

Applicants were required to meet a criterion of ‘excellence’, which is demonstrated through Total Research Income of at least $1,000,000 from 2018-2020. For the purposes of the Biobank Interim Support Program 2021, Total Research Income consisted of competitive grant income and a dollar value attributed to PhD students for projects based on or using samples and/or associated data from the biobank.
