Major Research and Innovation Application Support
The Major Research and Innovation Application Support (MRIAS) Program provides in-principle cash commitments for Western Australian grant applications being submitted to nationally or internationally competitive external grant funding programs (External Programs), to boost their chance of success.
MRIAS aims to promote high-quality research and innovation, enable opportunities for the translation of findings into new knowledge and improved human health and wellbeing, and enhance Western Australia’s standing as a leader in health and medical research and innovation.
In-principle cash commitments of up to $1 million (excluding GST) will be awarded through a competitive and merit-based process and successful MRIAS applicants provided with a letter of support to submit with their External Program application.
Please note, applicants must submit their MRIAS applications to the Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) well before the External Program’s closing date to ensure there is adequate time for panel review and outcomes to be available prior to the External Program closing date.
