Calls for nominations - Future Health Research and Innovation Fund Advisory Council
In accordance with the Western Australian Future Health Research and Innovation Fund Act 2012, the Minister for Medical Research of Western Australia seeks nominations from suitable people for the following current vacancy:
- A person with significant experience in or knowledge of country and regional WA health issues
Nominations are also invited for the following Advisory Council roles, which will be filled as vacancies become available:
- A person with experience representing the community
- A person with expertise in health and medical research
- A person with expertise in health and medical innovation
- A person with experience in dealing with issues related to Aboriginal health
- Persons with experience in fields such as business, finance, investment, law or corporate governance and the philanthropic, charitable and not-for-profit sectors
The Advisory Council meets approximately four times per year, and you may also be required to participate in out of session activity. Members who are not public sector employees may be eligible for remuneration. Member terms will be two years with the possibility of extension.

Nominations should include a:
- Curriculum vitae (CV) of no more than four pages with your contact details, current occupation and any qualifications and experience relevant to membership of the Advisory Council, and the details of two referees
- Covering letter of no more than three pages describing:
- Background and diversity information (this helps to ensure appropriate diversity on the Advisory Council):
- Your date of birth
- Your gender
- Whether you identify as Aboriginal Australian and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Whether you identify as LGBTIQ+
- Whether you identify as a person with a disability
- Your experience with health and medical research and/or innovation
- Which member role you are interested in and how your experience will contribute to this role
- How your experience will contribute to the functions of the Advisory Council.
