New venture capital initiative to drive innovation
The FHRI Fund will provide $15 million to co-invest with 3 Venture Capital firms through the new and ground-breaking WA Venture Capital Initiative.
The Initiative sets out to drive innovation, job creation and economic activity by supporting the growth, acceleration and success of the WA start-up and scale up ecosystem, and the health and medical life sciences stream of this Initiative is supported by the FHRI Fund.
This WA Government investment will generate new non-government investment to grow and retain entrepreneurial talent and businesses in WA.
Venture Capital firms were selected as co-investment partners by a cross-government Venture Capital Advisory Committee following an open and competitive tender process.
The Venture Capital firms awarded funding from the FHRI Fund, through the health and medical life sciences stream, are:
- Artesian Venture Partners Pty Ltd
- Brandon Capital Partners Pty Ltd
- Health Translation Group Limited.
