Mental Health Translational Research Grants 2026
The Mental Health Translational Research Grants 2026 program is a one-off round of targeted funding designed to accelerate implementation of the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Strategy 2026-2031 (the Strategy).
Funding will be provided on a competitive basis to support applications that address priority areas of the Strategy and aim to improve mental health and wellbeing or prevent mental illness for Western Australians.
The Mental Health Translational Research Grants is open to Western Australian researchers and their teams.
Successful applicants will be awarded funding of up to $600,000 to undertake research activities to develop and advance implementation of evidence‑based mental health models, including collaborative approaches that support rapid translation into practice. Funded activities must be completed within a 3‑year period.
