Mental Health Translational Research Grants 2026
The Mental Health Translational Research Grants 2026 program was a one-off round of targeted funding designed to accelerate implementation of the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Strategy 2026-2031 (the Strategy).
The Program sought applications that addressed priority areas of the Strategy and aimed to improve mental health and wellbeing or prevent mental health and alcohol and other drug issues for Western Australians, with funding awarded through a competitive assessment process.
The Mental Health Translational Research Grants were open to Western Australian researchers and their teams.
Grants of up to $600,000 for a period of up to 3-years, were available for research projects that accelerated the implementation of evidence-based models that improved mental health and alcohol and other drug systems, including collaborative approaches that supported rapid translation into practice.
