Distinguished Fellows program brings world-class aging expert to WA
The Distinguished Fellows 2024-25 program aims to attract outstanding research leaders to Western Australia, to build capacity and lead high quality, globally recognised research in WA.
Applications are now open Future Health Research and Innovation Fund - FHRI Fund Distinguished Fellows 2024-25.
Professor Alexey V. Terskikh is a Future Health Research and Innovation Distinguished Fellow, working as Head of the Chromatin and Ageing Laboratory at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
‘Ageing and rejuvenation: It’s one of the most fascinating and least understood areas of research. My key objective is to add life to our years rather than just add years to our lives,’ Professor Terskikh said.
‘To systematically assess human ageing and provide personalised guidance to extend a healthy and, very importantly, productive period of people's life.
‘I’m truly impressed by the breadth and depth of research in Australia and love this city’s vibe, Perth is a great place to live.
‘My son was born in Perth and am looking forward to progressing my research with local researchers here in WA.
