Minister Dawson speaking at Open Day
06/10/2025

The next Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund 2025 Open Day will be held on Wednesday 5 November 2025 from 2:00pm-4:30pm at Dexus Place, 240 St Georges Terrace, Perth.

The November Open Day is an opportunity for the WA research and innovation community to hear about the suite of FHRI Fund opportunities that are aligned to the new FHRI Fund Strategy 2025-30. Several FHRI Fund Programs and Initiatives (P&Is) will be launched, as well as providing the sector with the forward view of P&I openings across FY25/26 and FY26/27.

Importantly, this event also marks the official launch of the new FHRI Fund Spotlight WA program with the inaugural theme of Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD).

By placing RHD in the spotlight, the FHRI Fund seeks to strengthen collaboration, partnerships, research and innovation to reduce the devastating impacts of this serious but preventable condition. The opening of the Spotlight WA program is an exciting opportunity for the research and innovation sector in WA.

The event will be hosted by the Department of Health’s Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) and will feature presentations from the Honourable Stephen Dawson MLC, Minister for Medical Research as well as health workers, researchers and innovators.

Tickets are available for both in-person or online attendance and can be booked through the Trybooking Event Page.

Questions about the event may be submitted via DOH.OMRI@health.wa.gov.au
