FHRI Connect Open Day 2026 | 17 November 2026

The Office of Medical Research and Innovation's (OMRI) upcoming Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Connect Open Day will bring together Western Australia's health and medical research and innovation community to hear the Minister for Medical Research the Hon Stephen Dawson MLC launch the next FHRI Fund Spotlight Program topic and outline the Government's priorities for health and medical research and innovation in Western Australia.

The new Spotlight topic has been informed by consultation with researchers, clinicians, consumers and other stakeholders across the sector and will be supported through a dedicated $25 million funding investment aimed at driving collaboration, research and innovation in a priority area affecting Western Australians.

The Open Day will also provide updates on FHRI Fund programs and initiatives, including upcoming opportunities aligned to the Fund's strategic priorities

The event will be held on 17 November 2026, with both in-person and online attendance options available. Participation is encouraged from across Western Australia's health and medical research ecosystem, including researchers, clinicians, consumers, industry and government stakeholders.
