DISCOV3R Focus Grants give new life to RATs

A $300,000 grant has been awarded to a Curtin University researcher through the DISCOV3R Focus Grants 2023 program.
The program, funded by the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund, provides competitive grant funding to WA researchers to investigate the effectiveness of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs), and to determine their suitability as a long-term testing solution for infection by SARS-CoV-2 and its variants.
The funded research will contribute to the health and well-being of the WA community, through enhancing developments in COVID-19 rapid diagnosis and promoting biotechnology innovation in WA.
