The Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund has opened round 4 of the Major Research and Innovation Application Support (MRIAS) Round 4 Targeted Call – CUREator+ program to support researchers or innovators to move their applications forward.

The Brandon BioCatalyst and ANDHealth CUREator+ program (CUREator+) is a national program focused on accelerating the research translation and commercialisation of early-stage Australian medical research and medical innovations.

FHRI Fund MRIAS Round 4 Targeted Call – CUREator+ will provide in-principle cash commitments of up to $1 million for expressions of interest that have been shortlisted for the full application stage of CUREator+, to boost their chance of success.

The MRIAS program aims to provide a mechanism to allocate State Government co-funding support to competitive research or innovation applications to national or international grant funding programs. Commitments will be awarded through a competitive and merit-based process and successful MRIAS – Targeted Call CUREator+ applicants will be provided with a letter of support to submit with their national program application.

MRIAS Round 4 – Targeted Call CUREator+ applicants are required to be deemed successful at the full application stage of the CUREator+ program and intend to submit a full application by the mid-May 2025 closing date.

The Department’s Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) promotes high-quality innovation, enables opportunities for the translation of findings into new knowledge and improved health and wellbeing to enhance Western Australia’s standing as a leader in health and medical innovation.
