National grant success for WA researcher

The University of Western Australia researcher Dr Amy Page has been awarded $1.98 million from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Early to Mid-Career Researchers grant opportunity made possible by a $1 million grant provided by the Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund.
Dr Page and her team’s research vision is for a healthcare system where reducing medicines burden becomes routine care for older adults. The team will investigate a pathway to empower consumers to improve their quality of life through better management of their medications and ensuring the best possible outcomes.
The in-principle support of $1 million from the FHRI Fund Major Research Application Support program helped Dr Page secure the MRFF grant. Dr Page has also secured further funding of over $4.5 million cash and almost $3 million of in-kind support for the project.
